No joke. I was talking to B a while back, and she told me about Fred Water. I was actually pretty surprised. I know it’s silly, but Fred is not a very common name, not to mention that I think the image of the water is actually pretty much an accurate reflection of my semi-minimalistic style. Anyway, I saw a bottle at Sheetz, and could help but make a remark. Did I buy it? No, actually I went with an Aquafina Live… Which is actually pretty good stuff.

Nothing much to say really… This heat is getting a little out of hand these days… Speaking of extreme heat however, I just got back from seeing Hellboy II. It was a very solid movie. I think I’m just really fond of Guillermo Del Toro’s dark imagery. It’s too good… Back to the movie though… There was a ton of action, a good story, and just the right amount of humor. Now that you’ve watched Kung Fu Panda, I totally recommend this to satisfy your movie appetite.

Watch out for the flour city.

Oh boy! Wrapping things up out here. I’ve been pretty damn busy, but I can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel. I’m not going to lie, I’m pretty excited. I’m ready.

So before I start rattling on, let me just say that I am excited to finally post my final polished sketchbook. I fixed the button glitches, and restyled the interface. I’m pretty happy with it, so you should check it out… then let me know what you think! If you like what you see I built in a digg button, so do me a favor and use it!

So have you checked out the Bake Sale? I have. It’s one of the best things to happen to music in a long-ass time. I can’t get over it… It’s just so fresh! It really is a movement in style. The Cool Kids are a fun and refreshing break from today’s turn on hip hop. The beats go old school style, but without that dated sound. The rhymes are fun and reminiscent, but they’re still sick. I apologize for ranting. I just really hope that mainstream hip hop takes a lesson from these guys. Hip hop needs a new spin, and I hope the Cool Kids are cool enough to set a new trend.

As for my swatch. I have to admit. I made this a while back, and just decided to resurrect it. I was unsure if I really liked it, but after a little reconsideration I decided to go with it. The name? I dunno… I always let my fingers pick the names. Anyway, I think it has possibilities.

I must confess, I’ve been a little busy. You know how it goes, job-hunting… killing school… not so much fun. In my free moments I’ve been pondering the extensions of what to do with my life… and more recently what to do with all these sketches. I’ve been considering a few things, one of which I really like… shoes. I’ll keep you tuned.

On another note. This has been a good week, well as good as a week gets in sunny Greenville, PA.  If you haven’t heard, then get with the word! The new N.E.R.D album is COLD. Of course by cold, I mean blazing… and we all know blazing is now just a dated term for “solid.” Which is actually the most appropriate adjective to use. I know that I’m bound to be a bit biased, considering they’re my favorite band and all, but this is by far their best work. No really though it’s a very dynamic album, there’s literally something for everyone… Slow songs, rock ballads, head-bangers, head BOBBERS, thinking music, dance tunes… everything… and I think my favorite aspect is that they really brought back a lot of the old neptunes sounds. A lot of once closeted synths and harmonies… I really enjoyed this one, just check it out.

Also, my boys the Cool Kids dropped a new album this past Tuesday too, The Bake Sale EP. I’ll get back to that later… Right now I’m just beat!

Ugh… yep… It’s me… I’m back…

Okay, well a lot has happened since I’ve gone and dissappeared for 3 weeks. First off, I’ve graduated?! Yay! Now I’m in that hectic transition phase from school mode to real life mode. Anyway, pissing and moaning aside, I’m doing quite well.

I know you were worried.

So what’s up with this sketch nonsense? Well, for a while now I’ve been working on a “sketchbook.” It’s mostly a book of random drawings and sketches I’ve done with pen and pencil in my spare time. It’s actually quite an extensive collection. It has items spanning two years over 70 pages. I encourage you to check it out. It may not seem like much, but I couldn’t fathom the hours I’ve put into it.
